How It All Began
Having owned pets of various kinds since childhood, I got my first pet birds since 2004 and have owned birds from finches to budgies, cockatiels and a Senegal parrot.
I have experience in running a dog daycare facility, working at a cattery and fostering numerous dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. I've even hand-reared a foundling baby hare who was succesfully released.
I looked after a friend's cockatiels since 2013 and decided to set up Feathers Boarding and Petsitting in 2023 to provide an experienced home boarding experience for other pet birds and their owners. Since then, I've decided to include petsitting, to be able to visit pet birds and other pets in their own home should their owners prefer to keep them at home.
Feathers Boarding and Petsitting aims to give owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in safe, loving and knowledgeable hands.

Alison Hagan
Bird Boarder and Petsitter
Alison has always had a passion for animals, as a child she had guinea-pigs, a rabbit, gerbils, a hamster. Since moving to Northern Ireland, she has had pet budgies, cockatiels, finches, Senegal Parrot and a Green-cheek conure. She currently has pet cats including a blind cat, and a deaf cat, and currently has one dog, a bearded Collie x called Eva, and provides a retirement home for hens and ducks past their laying days. She's been fostering dogs and puppies for rescues for over 15 years and has 10 years experience fostering kittens and cats for rescues. She has a lot of knowledge and experience in handling, medicating and caring for many types of pets.
Be assured that pet birds are kept in a separate room, that the cats and dog do not have access too. The safety and well-being of my birds is my primary concern.
Louise Clinton
Petsitter
Louise has many years of experience caring for cats in particular both her own and foster cats and kittens for rescue. She has owned dogs in the past and currently owns 3 rabbits, 1 tortoise as well as several cats. She is very reliable and caring and will make sure that all pets she sits for in their own homes get well looked after and extra special attention.
